Commentary: Beach erosion appears to be greater between posts 1 - 3 but further around the situation improves.
Deakin University / Propeller Aero have released the latest drone survey of East Beach. Please note this is a twice yearly full crescent monitoring from the training wall at the river around to Mills Reeve and includes the monitoring posts 1 - 12.

All the drone data has been transferred to charts in the East Beach spreadsheet and are in PDF format.

Thin coloured chart lines are data from drone derived elevations.

Thick coloured lines are from direct laser level measurements on the beach.

Red lines are the latest measurement.

Blue lines are the previous measurement.

Brown lines are a measurement approximately 12 months ago.
All of this legend information is embedded in each chart.
Validation of Drone measurements.
Using the five Check Points at the WEDs, the current data passed 4 out of 5 points with the range limit set to less than 6cm and is rated very good.
