Community exhibit shines light on Port Fairy's coastal future

A new community exhibition will highlight future threats to Port Fairy’s coast and discover how locals and visitors use and value their beaches.
The Port Fairy Coastal Group – Coastal Hazard Community Exhibition will be on display at cafés and businesses, markets and community organisations from December to March.
The Exhibition, to be launched next Monday will encourage visitors and locals to have their say on how they value the coast and which areas should be protected into the future.

Where: Charlie’s on East, Port Fairy Surf Lifesaving Club
Who: Cr Colin Ryan, Mayor of Moyne Shire will join with members of the Port Fairy Coastal Group to launch the exhibition.
Why: The Coastal Hazard Community Exhibition will be critical in discovering how Port Fairy residents and visitors use the coast. This information will help guide local and state governments in tackling the challenges of sea level rise and erosion.
The Coastal Hazard Community Exhibition has been funded by the Department of Environment and Primary Industries and supported by Moyne Shire.
